ABOUT THE CELEBRATION

Earth x Space Celebration is an annual Rio Grande Valley event designed to connect families, educators, and students with real-world science, environmental stewardship, and space exploration.

Now in its fourth year, Earth x Space continues to grow as one of the region’s most dynamic STEM and sustainability experiences.

Why Earth x Space?

The Earth x Space Celebration was created by brothers Dr. Samuel García Jr. and Steven García as a way to engage the Rio Grande Valley community in conversations about science, sustainability, and opportunity.

What began as a simple idea to bring families together around Earth care and space exploration quickly grew through collaboration. Early on, the celebration partnered with the South Texas Astronomical Society, whose members helped bring STEM experiences to the Mid Valley.

Through strong community partnerships and a shared commitment to inspiring youth, Earth x Space has grown into an annual celebration that connects students, educators, and families with hands on learning and real world possibilities.
